Emma Gordon Stables Bio
I was drawn to acupuncture
through my own health issues which inspired me to train as an acupuncturist
although I actually always wanted to be a nurse but realised I didn’t like the
sight of blood! As a former Senior Flight
Stewardess for an international airline, I also have personal experience of the
effects of stress, jetlag and fatigue which undermined my health and ultimately
lead me to acupuncture as a career.
Passionate about people, your welfare and wellbeing, I have been established as an acupuncturist and registered with the British Acupuncture Council since 2003. Prior to this, I trained as a therapist in holistic clinical aromatherapy and therapeutic and acupressure massage, reflexology, Indian head massage and nutritional therapy. As an accredited acupuncturist, trained in London and China, I have extensive undergraduate and post-graduate clinical training in acupuncture and bio-medical sciences appropriate to the practice of acupuncture in the UK. I have international experience of working with people who are physically challenged, suffering from chronic pain, and/or stress/psychological related disorders. I have many testimonials of my successful work. "I highly recommend Emma and her acupuncture expertise; the whole experience was relaxing, educational and produced the required results" |
"Emma was exceptional. Both my husband and I suffered from pains - one in shoulder and other in jaw and neck. Thanks to Emma, we, especially my husband, has started his road to recovery in hopes to avoid surgery. And we have a new found love and respect for Acupuncture. Thank you Emma." Altogether, my clinical experience spans 25 years. From 1993-1999, I was formerly employed as a holistic therapist at 'The Sanctuary' in London's fashionable Convent Garden. During 2012-14, I was contracted as a ships' Acupuncturist working all over the world on board the 'Disney Fantasy' and Holland America Line 'Zaandam' cruise ship after which I returned back to Hampshire.
I am now based at The Lotus Flower Clinc in Over Wallop, near Stockbridge, Hampshire. Since 2017, I have been teaching and lecturing at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London on the Acupuncture pathway. In 2019, I qualified as a Naturopath, which included the study of naturopathic nutrition and detoxification, herbal medicine, homeopathy and tissue salts, iridology, Bach Flower remedies and bodywork. Simply put, a Naturopath is an educator/teacher empowering the patient to take responsibility for his/her own health. |
